Honestly? Because the existing ones felt stuck in the past. Most quote websites look like they haven't been updated since 2010 — cluttered layouts, intrusive ads everywhere, poor mobile experience, and designs that feel more like a chore to use than something you'd actually enjoy spending time on.
I wanted something that looked and felt modern. Something clean and minimal that puts the words front and center. Something you'd actually want to keep open on your screen while you work, study, or unwind.
